"Dream, Dream, Dream! Conduct these dreams into thoughts, and then transform them into action."
- Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam
His mother is a domestic help and father a labourer. Like numerous teens from economically backward homes, 19-year-old Mohd Tanjeer Asan took to stealing and drinking. Sometimes, he would go through garbage piles and sell whatever useful material he found in there. He would sleep on the streets and his family never really bothered about him. All this changed once football and My Angels Academy, Delhi entered his life.
Mohd Tanjeer Asan gave up his wayward ways and became serious about the sport. His diligence and focus paid when he cracked the Liverpool International Football Academy trials in 2013. However, he could not afford their fees and hence was unable to train with them. Not to lose hope, he gave trials for Salgaocar F.C., a football club that plays in the Indian I-League and got selected. Currently he plays for the American School.
Mohd Tanjeer Asan dreams of becoming an international football player. Currently he coaches other footballers at the My Angels Academy and does refereeing on the side. Despite his humble beginnings, Tanjeer donates thirty percent of his income to the academy.
